Hello ! Bonjour ! Welcome to my website. My name is Nicole Gerbes and I have been a teacher here at Governor Simcoe since 1998 ( yes, I probably taught your mom!!!). I did my degree at Niagara University and during that time I was able to complete some of my courses at l'Université Catholique de l'Ouest, in Angers, France. I teach Core & Extended French, History, and the Social Sciences. I coach the tennis team, am part of the Simcoe Outreach Society, and I coach the Reach for the Top: Academic Challenge (School Reach) team.
Over the past 19+ years here at Simcoe, I have also been on Parent Council, run the Ski & Snowboard Club, and I've been Chair of the Literacy Committee. I have also run several trips to Europe over the years. The picture of me you see to the left is in Santorini, Greece. I've also run school trips, to France & Italy as I believe travel is the best teacher of language, history, and the social sciences!
When I'm not at work I am home with the four blondes pictured below.
